S Seaside

Southwest beaches

For lovers of beaches lined with coconut trees and wetted by an azure blue ocean; Cote d'Ivoire offers beautiful beaches and magnificent bays that reconcile animation and idleness. From Abidjan to Tabou you will discover splendid beaches as beautiful as varied.

Monogaga bay
Located between Sassandra and San Pedro, Monogaga is a seaside resort with a beach covered with coconut palms and fine sand. It is a natural pool enough protected from the beachcombers and  suitable for water sports and sport fishing.

Sassandra Bay
Sassandra beaches are wonderful: on one side we discover a beautiful bay, pleasant to swim; On the other the rocks, fascinating the visitor make a part of this beach unspoilt.

Grand-Bereby Beach
With its heavenly beach in the shape of a cove, whose western tip ends in rocky scree, Grand-Bereby is a jewel of nature. The visitor will be surprised and amazed to see the magnificent bay.

Between the lagoon and Bandama River estuary, Grand-Lahou has a wonderful beach shaded by coconut palms. It is a popular destination for tourists who like sea and lagoon fishing as well as eco-tourism lovers (visits to the Azagny Nature Park and the chimpanzee island).

Dagbego beach
Nearby Sassandra, the small town of Dagbego has one of the beaches which is one of the Ivorian tourism pride as far as seaside is concerned. This beach has the advantage of offering the visitor a succession of rocky capes and sandbanks.

Tabou Beach
Last town on the coastline of Cote d'Ivoire after San Pedro, Tabou is 512 km from Abidjan. The city offers a sensational beach thanks to the presence of magnificent water: gulf of guinea and the cavally river’s estuary, natural border between Cote d’ivoire and Liberia.
The clean air from the coconut palms and the surrounding forests makes Tabou beach a great place to rest.
Dishes cooked in Cote d’ivoire can be enjoyed near the beaches, especially Grand Bassam: Chicken, fish, braised rabbit; Kedjenou (tomato soup) fish, chicken; Crayfish skewer accompaniment attieke, fried banana plantain (alloko), yam. A real delight.
